OCTOBER 1ST!! How Are You Going To Celebrate The Nigeria 60th Independent Day? -And What Exactly Are We Jubilating?

Independence Day is an official national holiday in Nigeria, celebrated on the first of October. It marks Nigeria’s proclamation of independence from British rule on 1 October 1960. So for this reason, Nigeria celebrates its independence on 1 October every year.

But what exactly are we celebrating? There’s nothing good to celebrate about the Nigeria@60. Because even at 60, Nigeria is still crawling, corruption, bad governance, insecurity, hardship, suffering and smiling.

Are we celebrating electricity and fuel price hike? $1 to N480? Boko-Haram and Fulani Herdsmen terrorism? Killing of our gallant soldiers like animals? Slaughtering of poor innocent Nigerian farmers by Fulani Herdsmen? Mass murdering of armless IPOB members by the Nigerian security operatives?

Can someone tell exactly what we are celebrating tomorrow!😭

I know some people are still going to celebrate it, that’s okay but I’m not gonna be part of it. I’m gonna sleep all through today.
