OPINION: Christians & Muslims Hijabs Crisis In Kwara State – Who’s Right or Wrong?
Schools founded by Christian missions disagreed with the state government order. Insisted that no female Muslim should wear hijabs to their Schools.🤔
MY OPINION:
Now let’s start with what hijab is/mean according to the Islamic religion.
What Is Hijab? A hijab is a religious veil worn by Muslim women in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family, which usually covers the head and chest. The term can refer to any head, face, or body covering worn by Muslim women that conforms to Islamic standards of modesty.

I’m a Christian, truth be told, we are wrong on this one but to an extent. The said female students are Muslims not Christians..the refusal to allow them wear hijabs to School is a violation of their right to freedom of religion as protected by Section 38 of the 1999 Constitution.
Aren’t they paying School fees? So why deciding how they should dress. Hijab is a Muslim thing. The female students in question, are Muslims and not Christians, so what’s the big deal?🤷
Muslims are equally wrong! You don’t fight and kill over religion disputes. It is a little misunderstanding that could be settled amicably by the state government. Why killing Christians over it? So barbaric. Must we fight and quarrel over everything in this country?
Besides Nigeria is not an Islamic country. Kwara is not a Muslim state, mixed religions (Christians, Muslims, Traditionalist, Pagans, and others). We also have Atheists here. So you don’t force yours sh*t on anyone, as if it is constitutional.
It’s obvious that Nigeria is long divided. Any little thing, boom quarrel, fight and killing. Smh
The religious crisis in Kwara should stop please. Religion really fvcked with Africans brains. Smh
