Tribute to Late Chief Sunday Alabi by Ọkùnrin Jẹ́jẹ́ Abiodun Oni.

I write to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Late Pa Sunday Alabi (Baba Leader), to Igbeti community and the PDP family at the loss of a highly respected political leader and a party stalwart.

I deeply wish I did not have to write this, for none of us could have prepared for the unfortunate loss that we have endured.

However, we should all take comfort in knowing Baba Sunday Alabi is resting in the arms of our Lord.

Reminiscing on past memories of Baba Sunday Alabi, Baba Leader was an honest and truthful man, honesty and truthfulness was his watchword, he always uphold the tenet of honesty and truthfulness, he was a very dedicated and loyal party man.

Baba Leader, as fondly called by people and political associate was a legend in his own era, a truthful and honest leader. According to his followers and admirers, he is the sage of ours.

It is noteworthy that he served diligently, honestly and he was so committed to the growth of People Democratic Party (PDP) Igbeti and Oyo State as a whole.

What Baba Leader has done for Igbeti community and PDP as a party, we can not tell it finish. Admittedly we shall all MISS him, especially that, his honest advice, but we have to bow to the will of God and thank the Almighty God, for his exemplary life, worthy of emulation, there is no doubt that history will accord him a prominent position as someone who stand for truth.

Baba Leader, will always have a cherished place in our memories and in our hearts.
